Position Summary

CGC is seeking an Analyst to join its Investments team. This is an opportunity to build core investing, underwriting, and transaction execution skills while supporting investments that accelerate clean energy deployment and sustainable infrastructure development across the United States.

As a member of the Investments team, you will support the evaluation, structuring, execution, and management of investments across clean energy, transportation, and other climate-aligned sectors. The role focuses primarily on infrastructure and asset-backed debt transactions, with exposure to select equity investments.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Origination & Analysis

  • Research market trends, financing opportunities, and emerging sectors across clean energy and sustainable infrastructure.
  • Support investment origination, screening, underwriting, and structuring activities.
  • Develop financial models, term sheets, investment memoranda, and investment committee presentations.
  • Analyze transactions and assess key risks and opportunities.

Transaction Execution

  • Support due diligence, underwriting, and transaction execution activities.
  • Prepare materials for internal approvals and investment committee reviews.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel, consultants, technical advisors, and transaction counterparties.
  • Support transaction negotiations, documentation review, and closings.

Portfolio Management

  • Support portfolio monitoring, reporting, and performance analysis.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual investment reviews.
  • Assist with portfolio amendments, waivers, consents, and compliance activities.
  • Partner with Risk, Legal, Operations, and Finance teams to support ongoing portfolio management.

Strategy & Business Development

  • Support relationship development with sponsors, developers, borrowers, co-investors, and capital providers.
  • Conduct market research to help identify new investment opportunities.
  • Contribute to innovative financing solutions that advance CGC’s mission.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1+years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience. Relevant experience may include internships, analyst programs, graduate studies, research roles, investment banking, consulting, project finance, infrastructure finance, renewable energy, or other applicable experience.
  • Strong quantitative, financial modeling, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with financial modeling, valuation, or transaction analysis.
  • Exposure to project finance, infrastructure finance, structured finance, private credit, or asset-backed lending.
  • Interest in clean energy, climate finance, sustainable infrastructure, or impact investing.
  • Experience using Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, PitchBook, or similar financial and data platforms.
  • Progress toward a CFA designation, graduate coursework, or other relevant professional development.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $97,000–$125,000. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and overall qualifications, and may vary from the stated range. This role is also eligible for a performance bonus.
