  • 5–8 years of experience in retail technology, POS engineering, or a similar role,
  • hands-on experience with Front Systems POS or comparable Point of Sale platforms,
  • experience working in a techno-functional role, combining hands-on work with APIs and integrations with a strong understanding of retail business processes,
  • strong understanding of middleware solutions and integration layers,
  • proven ability to support high-transaction, business-critical systems with a strong focus on performance, stability, and reliability,
  • ability to overlap working hours with teams operating in the Pacific Time Zone (PST) for a few hours on a regular basis,
  • strong understanding of retail store operations, checkout processes, pricing, and promotions,
  • experience integrating enterprise systems using REST or SOAP APIs,
  • familiarity with JSON and XML data formats,
  • solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases,
  • experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS,
  • understanding of omnichannel retail environments and integrations between online and offline sales channels,
  • experience providing L2/L3 support for business-critical applications,
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams,
  • good communication skills in English (min. B2),
  • practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery.

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

  • experience working within Nordic retail environments,
  • familiarity with Adobe Commerce, Magento, or similar eCommerce platforms,
  • participation in large-scale POS transformation or modernization projects,
  • experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work,
  • interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
