Our client P & L Carpentry Limited, based in Trim, Co. Meath, is currently seeking Computer Numerical Control Operatives for immediate start for their facility in Trim, Co. Meath. Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years’ CNC operation experience is required. There are no minimum academic requirements. A CNC or related certification is a plus but is not required. Key Responsibilities: - Set up, maintain, and control CNC machines to execute production orders accurately and efficiently. - Program CNC machines, ensuring required parameters, tolerances, and measurements are met while maintaining quality and safety standards. - Monitor automated machines to ensure proper operation and optimal performance. - Perform test runs to verify machine settings and ensure product quality. - Remove processed workpieces and inspect finished products for accuracy and defects. - Remove and report inadequate or non-conforming workpieces. - Set up machine controllers and supply machines with appropriate tools and materials. - Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting as required. - Ensure equipment availability and readiness for scheduled production. - Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures. Key Requirements: - Ability to competently perform all job duties listed above - Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a CNC Operator in a manufacturing or production environment. - Proven experience reading and interpreting standard blueprints and technical drawings. - Demonstrated experience in machine setup, maintenance, and programming. - Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and Statistical Process Control (SPC). - Ability to consult and interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and drawings. - Experience programming CNC controllers and using automatic programming functions. - Proficiency in CAM software. - Ability to troubleshoot machining issues efficiently. - Competence in operating precision measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). - Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards. - Good problem-solving and analytical skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
