Job Title: CNC Operator

Salary: €36,605 per annum
Working Hours: 39 hours per week
Responsibilities:
Set up CNC machines (milling, drilling, and turning) for production runs, including tool selection,
fixture alignment, and machine calibration
Input and adjust machining parameters (feeds, speeds, offsets) based on material type and
engineering requirements
Prepare machines for new jobs by interpreting technical drawings and CAD/CAM specifications
Operate CNC machinery to manufacture metal components within specified tolerances
Monitor machining processes and make real-time adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy
Ensure repeatability and consistency across production batches
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, verniers, gauges) to verify component accuracy
Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
Identify and resolve machining issues, including tool wear, misalignment, and process deviations
Optimise machining processes to improve efficiency, cycle times, and output quality
Perform routine maintenance and ensure machines are operating within optimal parameters
Coordinate workflow with fabrication and finishing teams to ensure efficient production sequencing
Prepare machined components for downstream processes, including surface treatment where required
Requirements:
Strong understanding of metal machining principles and tooling
Ability to interpret technical drawings and tolerances. Demonstrated ability to work with precision and follow technical specifications
Mechanical troubleshooting and process optimization
Attention to detail and quality control
Ability to work independently within a production environment
Experience in machine operation within a manufacturing or metalworking environment.
Practical experience in machine set-up, adjustment, and troubleshooting. Technical training is advantageous
