You Are:
We are seeking an experienced consulting leader to spearhead our Federal Digital Marketing Practice. This client-facing executive will drive growth by shaping and selling digital marketing solutions to federal agencies, building trusted relationships with government clients, and establishing our firm as the premier digital marketing transformation partner in the federal sector. As the Federal Digital Marketing Practice Lead, you will transform how government agencies approach citizen engagement, recruitment, and public communications by bringing commercial digital marketing best practices to the public sector. Your work will directly contribute to our organization's growth in the federal market while helping government clients better serve citizens through modern digital marketing approaches.

Client Engagement & Business Development:

  • Drive federal growth by identifying, pursuing, and winning digital marketing transformation opportunities with government agencies
  • Build and nurture executive-level relationships with federal clients to position our firm as their trusted digital marketing advisor
  • Connect with and augment individual deal teams to enhance client proposals and solution development
  • Track and forecast pipeline, ensuring alignment with revenue targets and growth objectives
  • Lead client workshops, discovery sessions, and strategic discussions to uncover digital marketing needs and opportunities

Solution Development & Delivery:

  • Drive creation of comprehensive digital marketing playbooks and asset repositories tailored to federal requirements
  • Develop specialized solutions including Recruitment Marketing and Agency of Record (AOR) frameworks for government clients
  • Identify Total Addressable Market (TAM), competitive intelligence, and target opportunities
  • Collaborate across organizational entities (T&O, Salesforce, etc.) to craft end-to-end digital marketing solutions for federal clients

Practice Leadership:

  • Identify short-term and long-term talent strategies to build a market-leading federal digital marketing practice
  • Own and develop the partner ecosystem to enhance digital marketing offerings for government clients
  • Drive thought leadership through speaking engagements, published content, and federal marketing forums

Critical Capabilities

  • Strategic vision to translate commercial digital marketing practices into federal-appropriate solutions
  • Experience developing and mentoring consulting talent in digital marketing specialties
  • Working knowledge of marketing technology platforms and emerging technologies applicable to government contexts

Qualifications:

  • Consulting expertise: 10+ years of experience leading digital transformation initiatives with a focus on marketing and customer experience
  • Digital marketing domain expertise: Deep understanding of digital marketing strategies, technologies, and best practices that can be applied to federal environments
  • Client relationship management: Experience building and maintaining C-level relationships in government agencies
  • Public Service sector knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of public service or federal procurement processes, requirements, and trends in digital marketing adoption
