This is a field-based sales position focused on developing new business through proactive outreach efforts such as cold prospecting, in-person visits, networking, referrals, and targeted account development.


Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Generate new opportunities through outbound prospecting, industry networking, referrals, and strategic targeting.
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-up and conversion of leads into customers.

Client Consultation

  • Perform on-site evaluations to assess customer needs, facility conditions, and budget considerations.
  • Recommend HVAC solutions and service offerings that align with both technical requirements and business objectives.

Proposal Development

  • Prepare detailed quotes, scopes of work, and agreements outlining pricing, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Present proposals confidently, addressing objections while demonstrating overall value.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams—including service technicians, estimators, and project managers—to ensure accuracy in scoping and execution.
  • Share customer insights to enhance service quality and continuous improvement efforts.

Relationship Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor and main point of contact for clients throughout the sales cycle and beyond.
  • Cultivate long-term partnerships that drive repeat business and referrals.

Sales Performance

  • Consistently meet or exceed established sales targets through disciplined planning and execution.
  • Track and manage individual performance metrics to drive results.

Industry Awareness

  • Stay current on HVAC technologies, market trends, and competitive offerings.
  • Continuously refine product knowledge and sales approach to remain effective and relevant.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in HVAC sales or a comparable technical sales environment.
  • Solid understanding of HVAC systems, installation methods, and service solutions.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and close business.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented, with a strong customer focus.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot, along with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong internal collaboration.
