Develop instructional and educational materials in Greek history, Greek culture and Greek Orthodox studies for parish-based school programs. Evaluate instructional programs through classroom observations, curriculum reviews, and student learning assessments and analyze the results to recommend improvements to instructional strategies and curriculum delivery. Develop comprehensive instructional materials, coordinating educational content, and incorporating various technologies to provide guidelines to teachers and instructors for conducting courses that align with the values and beliefs of the Orthodox faith. Develop and maintain a centralized database of curriculum resources, instructional materials, and assessment tools to support consistent implementation across parish schools. Analyze children’s developmental abilities, limitations and age to plan and implement immersive religious education curriculum. Identify, evaluate and disseminate instructional resources to Parishes including books, online tools, multimedia materials, and teaching methodologies. Ensure curricula and instruction materials meet linguistic, pedagogical standards as required by the Uniform Parish Regulations of the Archdiocese. Provide instructional support and guidance to Parish school teachers and school administrators to improve teaching effectiveness and curriculum implementation. Work with teachers at the Parish schools and parents of children maintain positive and productive relationship with religious values. Support and train educators to ensure instructional practices and curriculum materials across the Metropolis align with established educational, pedagogical and religious standards. Serve as a central instructional resource for parish schools by coordinating curriculum implementation, assessment practices and instruction improvement initiatives. Education and Experience Requirements Requires U.S. Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Education, Special Education or related field. Also requires 6 months of experience as an Orthodox Catechist performing Orthodox catechism curriculum development or educational program evaluation, gained in a religious or faith-based educational setting. Must be a practicing and baptized member of the Orthodox Church with a demonstrated understanding of Orthodox theology, doctrine, and educational traditions, consistent with the theology, creed, and mission of the Orthodox Church, as acquired through religious education and ongoing faith practice.
