The Role

Marsh is seeking a Senior Legal Analyst / Legal Counsel to join the Italy, East Mediterranean & Caspian Legal & Compliance team, based in Athens. This is a great opportunity for a qualified lawyer with 3–5 years of experience who is eager to grow in a dynamic, international environment and partner closely with the business.

What you will do

As part of the Legal & Compliance team, you will provide practical, business-oriented legal support across a broad range of matters, including:

Advising internal stakeholders on commercial contracts, regulatory matters, intellectual property, employment topics, and dispute-related issues.
Supporting the business in identifying, assessing, and managing legal, compliance, and regulatory risks.
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and key operational documents.
Conducting legal research and analysis to enable compliant and informed business decisions.
Supporting and reporting on legal/compliance initiatives, including contractual and regulatory requirements.
Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and providing proactive guidance to stakeholders.

What you need to have

Master’s degree in Law (or equivalent law degree).
3–5 years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house environment.
Strong understanding of insurance-related laws and regulations (or strong motivation and ability to develop this expertise quickly).
Fluent English (written and spoken).
Strong stakeholder management skills, a commercial mindset, and the ability to communicate clearly with diverse audiences.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

Prior international experience in a similar role.
Experience with international sanctions screening.
