The Role
Marsh is seeking a Senior Legal Analyst / Legal Counsel to join the Italy, East Mediterranean & Caspian Legal & Compliance team, based in Athens. This is a great opportunity for a qualified lawyer with 3–5 years of experience who is eager to grow in a dynamic, international environment and partner closely with the business.

What you will do
As part of the Legal & Compliance team, you will provide practical, business-oriented legal support across a broad range of matters, including:
- Advising internal stakeholders on commercial contracts, regulatory matters, intellectual property, employment topics, and dispute-related issues.
- Supporting the business in identifying, assessing, and managing legal, compliance, and regulatory risks.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and key operational documents.
- Conducting legal research and analysis to enable compliant and informed business decisions.
- Supporting and reporting on legal/compliance initiatives, including contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and providing proactive guidance to stakeholders.
What you need to have
- Master’s degree in Law (or equivalent law degree).
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house environment.
- Strong understanding of insurance-related laws and regulations (or strong motivation and ability to develop this expertise quickly).
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Strong stakeholder management skills, a commercial mindset, and the ability to communicate clearly with diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Prior international experience in a similar role.
- Experience with international sanctions screening.
