We are seeking a talented individual to join our Mercer Team at Marsh. This role will be based in Pune. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Manager - IT Quality & Assurnace Testing (Quality Engineer – Plan Design Benchmarking)
We will count on you to:
Build a centralised Plan Design Benchmarking solution as a first step to a global benchmarking approach for MMB.
The solution will enable MMB placement & advisory colleagues to better engage with clients on their EH&B strategy vs. market practice and emerging trends.
The key technology goal is to build the foundational technology and analytics framework, and create the benchmarking product for a first set of target countries.
What you need to have:
We are seeking a QA analyst to help define and develop the testing framework for the benchmarking product.
The product will be built on a combination of a custom web application and an off the shelf analytics platform. You will be expected to design and write tests for these technology components, help ensure quality metrics are met, capture software bugs and diagnose issues in the development process.
Responsibilities:
Write test plans and test cases against defined acceptance criteria
Understanding business logic and domain concepts to build meaningful functional test cases
Run manual and exploratory tests, to help design automated testing scripts and evaluate tool accuracy and useability
Execute test plans to assess the product against functionality, performance, usability and reliability criteria
Build out the automated testing codebase, and ensure tests are executed as part of the deployment pipeline
Diagnose faults in products and report findings to developers so they can be addressed
Look for ways to prevent bugs from occurring in the first place
Investigate user issues and identify potential causes for feedback to developers
What makes you stand out?
At least three years’ experience in a software QA / testing role
Understand the full testing lifecycle involved in software development
Strong understanding of web development languages and practices
Experience in Jest or an equivalent JavaScript unit testing framework
Proficiency using Cypress or an equivalent E2E testing software framework
Proven ability to write and execute reliable and efficient test scripts, and clear stories
Experience evaluating testing outcomes against acceptance criteria
Ability to provide clear information on the state of a product for release
Experience in logging and tracking bugs and defects using JIRA or similar software
Capacity to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and business users
