We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risksmart Claims Team at Marsh Australia. This role will be based in Sydney office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Claims Executive in the Risksmart Claims Team, you are responsible for proactively managing a varied portfolio of strata and homeowner claims. There will also be some exposure to other lines of business such as healthcare and liability claims. You will oversee the entire claims process, delivering exceptional service, thoroughly evaluating claims to determine policy coverage, and skillfully negotiating favorable outcomes for insurer clients.
We will count on you to:
Collaborating and Partnering for Client Value:
Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with clients, repairers, assessors and other external stakeholders including insurers
Ensuring that client interests are protected in claims
Identifying and escalating suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims for internal review and investigation
Providing relevant information and feedback on claims and developing trends to underwriters/risk assessors
Inspiring with Operational Excellence:
End to end management of insurance claims pursuant to GICOP requirements
Ensure compliance with relevant statutory guidelines and standards
Interpreting and making decisions on policy terms, conditions and exclusions up to Delegated Authority amounts
Escalating claims as needed and working with senior staff to strategically manage difficult and complex claims, with a view of securing best claim outcome
Respond to all enquiries within Risksmart service-level agreements in place (SLAs)
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders in an accurate, professional, and courteous manner
Ensure appropriate information flow to claims stakeholders, ensuring that clients are kept informed of relevant developments and that expectations are well managed both internally and externally.
Maintaining current knowledge of insurance guidelines, court/AFCA decisions impacting claims functions, and policy changes and modifications
Satisfying and reaching with new technologies:
Maintain appropriate product, system and process knowledge
Attend relevant product and skill courses and passing on relevant points to other staff
Contribute towards the refinement of processes and procedures to improve systems and procedures
Sharing Knowledge through Data and Analytics:
Provide regular status updates and relevant information/advice to clients in a timely and efficient matter
Liaising with insurers to ensure that claims are settled appropriately and in the most cost-effective manner
Contribute towards the delivery of claims and accurate claims data
Attending to regular reporting requirements and management of claims system in accordance with the GICOP and client service-level agreements in place (SLAs)
What you need to have:
Ideally 1-2 years of experience in strata or landlord insurance experience
Experience working to deadlines (including GICOP) and within SLA timeframes
Broad knowledge of insurance industry and claims processes
Excellent analytical skills
Strong organisational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
