Coordinate the use of diagnostic and treatment modalities to provide high quality and efficient medical management for adult inpatients assigned to their service. Ensure that the patient, family, primary physician and related hospital and community services are well informed of the plan of care. Perform consultative service to adult patients upon request and may also perform ancillary services as required by the hospital. Requires M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent; completion of residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; and eligibility for medical licensure in the state of New Jersey.
