Duties: Compounding of non-sterile pharmaceutical products Compound and dispense medications. Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, to ascertain the needed ingredients, and to evaluate their suitability Provide information and advice regarding interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage Assess the identity, strength, or purity of medications. Analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions Providing medications and pharmacy services to assisted living and nursing home facilities. Developing a system of inventory record keeping and control to detect any shortages or discrepancies in controlled substances Point of contact for regulatory, legal, third-party insurance companies and audit situations. Monitors pharmacy to ensure complete legal requirements. Supervise, coordinate, and participate in activities relative to the practice area including management of human and financial resources, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, staff development, and policy development. Demonstrate efficiency in computerized pharmacy management system, Best Computer System (BCS). Supervise four employees (Pharmacy Technicians, Cashier and Delivery Driver) Education: Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences Experience: 60 months of experience in the job offered or as a Pharmacist. Experience to include, 60 months of experience in: Providing customized packing systems including Dispill, Meds on Time, Multi-Meds pack, Free package bubble pack, and Multi-dose package. Certification: Certified to Administer Immunizations in the State of Florida License: State of Florida license to practice as a Pharmacist Hours: • Number of hours per week: 40 hours per week • Daily Work Schedule: 9.00 a.m. 6.00 p.m. (1 hour lunch) Supervision: Does this position supervise other employees?
