Job Description
The Global Interchange & Pricing Strategy (IPS) Initiatives and Enablement team leads the technical strategy, solution development, enablement, and ongoing maintenance of Visa's interchange programs worldwide.
The Sr. Manager – Global IPS Initiatives and Enablement is an individual contributor role that serves as a critical liaison between business stakeholders, regional teams, technology partners, and implementation teams. This role translates strategic business needs into actionable requirements, analytical insights, implementation plans, and enablement materials that drive the successful execution of interchange and pricing initiatives globally. The role also manages operational excellence to modernize existing processes and to improve productivity and efficiency with scalable automation solutions.
Success in this role requires a blend of business acumen, technical aptitude, analytical rigor, operational excellence, and stakeholder management expertise. The ideal candidate will bridge business requirements with technology delivery, support the development and enablement of interchange programs, optimize existing enablement process, and provide structured analysis that informs decision-making and implementation readiness.
We are looking for an analytical, structured thinker and creative problem solver who synthesizes complex information, identifies practical solutions, and communicates effectively with diverse audiences. The candidate must be comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and operating with autonomy in a fast-paced, global environment.
This role requires an AI curious and AI practical mindset—not an AI specialist, but someone who demonstrates curiosity, sound judgment, and practical use of AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, accelerate productivity, enhance insight generation, and responsibly rethink workflows.
The preferred location for this position is Miami, Florida. This position requires travel 5%-10% of the time.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities :
Stakeholder Liaison and Cross-Functional Enablement
Serve as a key liaison between Global Interchange & Pricing Strategy, regional business teams, technology partners, implementation teams, and operational stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships across business, technology, and regional teams, facilitating alignment on scope, priorities, timelines, risks, and expected outcomes.
Translate business needs, regional priorities, client impacts, and strategic objectives into clear requirements, action plans, and enablement deliverables.
Business-Technology Bridge
- Act as a bridge between business and technology teams, translating business requirements into structured documentation and technical concepts into clear business terms.
- Support the identification and enablement of processing system enhancements needed to deliver interchange fee programs, pricing initiatives, and related capabilities.
- Partner with technology and implementation teams to assess feasibility, clarify business intent, review solution options, validate technical designs, and ensure alignment with requirements.
Analysis, Insights, and Decision Support
- Use SQL and analytical tools to extract, validate, analyze, and interpret data in support of business requirements, impact assessments, implementation readiness, issue investigation, and post-launch validation.
- Develop insights, summaries, dashboards, presentations, and executive-ready materials that communicate findings clearly and support informed decision-making.
Initiative Enablement and Program Support
- Coordinate enablement activities for global, regional, merchant-specific, and strategic partner interchange programs, including program registration, configuration coordination, stakeholder readiness, documentation, and ongoing support.
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute implementation guides, stakeholder instructions, process documentation, and training materials for internal teams, strategic partners, acquirers, and regional stakeholders.
- Support review of Visa Business News items and client-facing communications to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with business intent.
- Support post-implementation validation to confirm programs, configurations, and client outcomes align with approved requirements.
Issue Management and Operational Excellence
- Identify, analyze, and communicate interchange processing issues with potential client or business impacts, including root cause, status, resolution path, and stakeholder implications.
- Continuously assess existing processes, identify inefficiencies redesign workflows, and implement scalable solutions that improve speed, quality, ownership, and accountability.
- Identify opportunities for automation and partner with relevant teams to implement tools, templates, dashboards, or systems that reduce manual work and improve reliability.
- Manage assigned initiatives independently by tracking action items, risks, dependencies, decisions, and delivery commitments with strong judgment and accountability.
AI-Enabled Ways of Working
- Demonstrate AI curious and AI practical ways of working by using AI-enabled tools responsibly to accelerate analysis, improve efficiency, summarize complex information, and streamline recurring workflows.
- Apply sound judgment when using AI tools—validating outputs, applying appropriate business context, protecting confidential information, and ensuring conclusions are data-driven.
Knowledge Management and Continuous Improvement
- Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in Visa processing capabilities, interchange programs, fee logic, data sources, and internal systems through training, experience, and self-study.
- Maintain internal databases, templates, process flows, analytical resources, and team documentation to support operational consistency and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate effectively across local, regional, and global teams to ensure alignment, transparency, and efficient execution.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, OR 5+ years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA, JD, MD), OR 2+ years of experience with a PhD.
- Experience working as a business-technology bridge, including clarifying business intent, assessing feasibility, reviewing solution options, and validating technical designs against requirements.
- Experience in payments, interchange strategy, and interchange processing.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and structured execution skills.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and analytical tools to navigate large datasets and to support data-driven strategies.
- Experience leading process redesign, operational transformation, or business process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to operate in ambiguity, bring structure to fragmented processes, and influence teams through change.
- Strong program management skills, including tracking risks, dependencies, decisions, action items, and delivery commitments.
- Ability to develop executive-ready insights, dashboards, presentations, and stakeholder communications that support informed decision-making.
- Ability to quickly build subject matter expertise in complex systems, data sources, processing rules, pricing logic, and operational processes.
- Ability to manage initiative enablement activities, including configuration coordination, stakeholder readiness, and operation.
- Experience identifying automation opportunities and implementing tools, dashboards, templates, or workflow improvements that reduce manual work and improve reliability.

The estimated salary range for this position is $127,300.00 to $ 204,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
