General Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk supports the daily movement of materials and finished products throughout the manufacturing process. This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing customer shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring products are properly packaged and documented. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, detail oriented, and enjoys working in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving
Receive incoming materials, supplies, and components.
Verify quantities and documentation against packing slips and purchase orders.
Inspect incoming shipments for visible damage or discrepancies.
Label and route materials to appropriate locations within the facility.
Maintain accurate receiving records.
Prepare customer shipments according to work instructions and customer requirements.
Verify part numbers, quantities, and documentation prior to shipment.
Package products to prevent damage during transit.
Generate packing slips, shipping labels, and related documentation.
Coordinate shipments with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and freight providers.
Inventory and Material Handling
Move materials and finished products throughout the facility.
Maintain accurate inventory locations and records.
Perform inventory transactions within the ERP system.
Maintain organized stockroom and storage areas.
Safety & Workplace Organization
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized inspection area.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Properly use material handling equipment and shipping supplies.
