About the Role
This position is responsible for leading the agency direct sales channel, focusing on recruiting, development, and managing independent agents, brokers, and agency partners to drive insurance sales growth. This position also drives building strong partner relationships, achieving premium targets, and ensuring effective distribution of products through the agency network while maintaining compliance in a regulated environment.STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plays an active role in agency strategic planning and provides oversight to sales managers in driving agency force expansion and development towards achieving optimal productivity level.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agency partners, providing ongoing support, training, and motivation to maximize productivity.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, incentives, and marketing programs tailored to the agency channel to meet or exceed revenue and premium targets.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and channel data to identify growth opportunities and resolve issues or conflicts.
OPERATIONAL:
- Recruit, Onboard, and develop a high-performing network of independent agents and agencies to expand channel reach.
- Conduct training sessions on insurance products, sales techniques, morning meeting and business review.
- Monitor sales performance through key metrics such as VONB, ANP, Active Ratio and Case per active agent, and provide coaching / feedback for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. marketing, underwriting team, product development) to equip agents with tools, quotes, and resource of success.
- Manage channel budgets, and report on channel performance to senior leadership and contribute to multi-channel strategy (balancing agency with direct or other channels).
- Ensure effective control and monitoring of the overall expenses of agency activities in line with operational efficiency.
