Android Mobile Developer
Location: Primarily Bukit Merah; also AMK / Science Park depending on project requirements
Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin.
- Build modern, responsive UIs using Jetpack Compose and Android frameworks.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
- Collaborate with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs.
- Participate in Agile development (sprint planning, code reviews, retrospectives).
- Debug, troubleshoot, and improve app performance and reliability.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and testing.
- Perform unit testing, UI testing, and support UAT.
- Monitor app performance and continuously improve based on feedback.
- Document technical designs and implementations.
Requirements
- Around 2 years of Android development (Kotlin) experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of Kotlin fundamentals (coroutines, flows, null safety).
- Experience with Android Jetpack (ViewModel, LiveData/Flow, Navigation).
- Familiarity with Jetpack Compose or modern Android UI development.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and handling JSON data.
- Knowledge of Git version control.
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile practices.
- Exposure to DevOps is an advantage.
- Hands-on, passionate about programming, and eager to learn.
- Self-motivated, team player, with good communication skills and a can-do attitude.
