General Summary
The Healthcare Customer Service Representative serves as a trusted point of contact for members, patients, providers, and healthcare partners. This role supports inquiries related to healthcare benefits, eligibility, claims status, provider networks, referrals, billing questions, and general healthcare navigation.
Successful candidates demonstrate professionalism, empathy, active listening skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Job Responsibilities
• Respond to healthcare-related inquiries via phone, email, and chat
• Assist members with benefit, eligibility, and coverage questions
• Research and resolve customer concerns efficiently and accurately
• Explain healthcare programs, services, and available resources
• Document customer interactions according to company guidelines
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve complex issues
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations
• Deliver outstanding customer service while meeting quality standards
Work Experience
• Customer service, healthcare support, insurance, call center, or administrative experience preferred
• Experience working with health plans, medical offices, hospitals, or healthcare organizations is a plus
• Entry-level candidates with strong communication and problem-solving skills may be considered
• Remote work experience is beneficial but not required
