Responsibilities and Tasks
R & D and Production Responsibility
• Execute installation, modification, project management, and maintenance support for pilot equipment sets
• Solve straightforward problems with guidance, as needed, to identify such things as root cause of equipment shifts
• Provide suggested solutions to real time equipment problems
• Maintain active projects to reduce equipment total cost of ownership
• Demonstrate ownership of assigned projects including, but not limited to, coordination, installation, maintenance, documentation, modification and over all support of equipment projects
• Recommend equipment changes to improve process metrics
• Work with Process engineers to define hardware modifications for new process viability and or existing process improvement
• Transfer owned equipment knowledge to manufacturing with good support and documentation
• Mentor other equipment engineers in the respective area
• Support in providing detailed, expert analysis to team members and managers on project, technical or innovation issues
• Research, gather and analyze information related to specific assignments within your technical discipline
Responsibilities:
• Support, repair and upgrade production equipment.
• Perform PM (Preventive Maintenance) and Change Over on production equipment effectively and efficiently.
• Assist Supervisors/Engineers in making quality and reliability improvements.
• Troubleshoot and analyze machine failure mechanism or frequency.
• Minimize equipment downtime through preventive maintenance / fixes.
• Monitor and improve on repair cycle time through continuous improvement effort.
• Involved in Empowerment & Autonomous Maintenance Team activities.
• Applies judgment in resolving non-routine problems .
• Works on assignments that are moderately difficult .
• Normally receives little instruction on daily work.
• Identifies complex technical issues and applies judgment to resolve.
• Troubleshoots advanced problems/issues with limited guidance.
• Makes recommendations related to preventative maintenance and other non-routine issues.
• May lead or train others on the team.
• Applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
• Applies a thorough understanding of equipment to resolve problems .
• Project involvement may extend to teams from different areas.
