About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Solution Prep Technician I to join our Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing solutions in a controlled laboratory environment while ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. This is a great opportunity for someone with a science background who enjoys hands-on work and precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, formulate, mix, and filter solutions according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Perform in-process quality checks including specifications, labeling, and sterility testing
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and repository samples
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation
  • Operate pumps, filtration systems, and laboratory equipment using aseptic techniques
  • Ensure a clean, sterile, and bacteria-free work environment
  • Monitor production schedules and communicate needs or issues to the Supervisor
  • Identify inconsistencies and assist in troubleshooting and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production and inventory needs
  • Follow all safety procedures and comply with company, FDA, and ISO regulations

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required (science-related field preferred); relevant experience may substitute
  • Previous experience in laboratory or solution preparation preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • High attention to detail

Technical Skills

  • Experience with laboratory equipment such as pumps, pipettors, and filtration systems
  • Ability to measure, weigh, and handle chemicals safely
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and cleanroom practices
  • Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

Work Environment

  • Climate-controlled laboratory setting with occasional cold storage exposure
  • Use of cleanroom attire and personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • No travel required

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Stand for extended periods (up to 2.5 hours)
  • Frequent walking, lifting, reaching, and material handling
