Job Summary
We are seeking a Non-Sterile Pharmacy Technician to join our Operations team. This role focuses on non sterile compounding and supports pharmacists in producing accurate, high quality customized medications. You will assist with daily lab operations and work directly with ingredients and formulations to meet individual patient needs.
This is an on site day shift role within our Boca Raton, FL Operations department. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing customized medications
- Compound non sterile preparations such as creams, gels, suspensions, capsules, troches, and other dosage forms in compliance with USP <795> and internal SOPs
- Accurately weigh, mix, and process ingredients to ensure consistency and compliance
- Perform quality control checks and ensure all compounds are correctly labeled, packaged, and documented
- Help manage inventory of raw materials and supplies, including restocking and logging
- Maintain organized and up to date batch records and compounding logs
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists and team members to ensure timely, safe, and efficient medication production
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician
- Experience in non sterile compounding within a compounding pharmacy or production environment
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the applicable state (Required)
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmacy processes
- High attention to detail and accuracy in compounding and labeling
- Ability to follow procedures and protocols with consistency
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with USP <795> standards and regulatory compliance for compounded medications
- Knowledge of different routes of medication administration such as topical, sublingual, oral
- Ability to excel in a fast paced, detail oriented work setting
- Experience using pharmacy software systems for labeling, tracking, and batch record management
