Auto Electrician (Semi-Skilled or Qualified) Salary: 16.35 to 18.39 per hour (Pay rate TBC following an on-site interview). Location: Preston, Lancashire NW Recruitment Services Ltd are supporting a well-established automotive specialist with the recruitment of an Auto Electrician for their Preston site. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected business working across vehicle electrical installation, maintenance, and fault diagnosis. The role will suit someone with strong practical experience, good technical understanding, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Main responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical work on a range of vehicles and related equipment, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. • Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of vehicle electrical systems and associated equipment. • Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs using sound electrical knowledge. • Work from technical information, wiring details, and diagrams where required. • Carry out inspections and testing to support quality and safety standards. • Support other team members to ensure work is completed on time. What we are looking for: This role may suit a qualified Auto Electrician or someone with relevant semi-skilled experience looking to develop further within a specialist business. • Experience working with auto electrical systems and wiring. • A strong practical background, with the ability to use hand tools and power tools confidently. • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills. • High attention to detail and a methodical approach. • Able to communicate well and work as part of a team. Next steps: This position commences on a 12-week temp to perm basis (acting as the probation period for the client). There is a permanent role after 12 weeks based on successful candidate performance, suitability, and attendance with the first 12 weeks.
