HGV Class 1 Driver (C+E) • Site location: Preston • Pay rate: 16.00 - 18.00 per hour DOE (start salary TBC following site interview) • Shifts available: A mixture of day and night shifts available • Term: Full-time, permanent (12-week initial temp period through NW Recruitment Services acts as probationary period for a permanent role after 12 weeks) NW Recruitment Services Ltd are currently exclusively in partnership with a well-established transport and logistics operation in the Preston area aiding the recruitment of experienced HGV and Multi-Drop Drivers of all levels. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and professional transport team offering regular work, modern vehicles, and ongoing support. The roles: • Driving Class 1 articulated vehicles (44T) on scheduled delivery routes • Completing vehicle safety inspections before and after shifts • Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently, reporting any discrepancies • Maintaining accurate transport and tachograph records in line with assimilated rules • Securing loads correctly and following all transport compliance procedures • Liaising with the transport office regarding route updates and delivery times Requirements: • Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) licence • Digital Tachograph Card and Valid Driver CPC • No more than 6 penalty points (major endorsements not accepted) • Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred (and recent to be referenceable) • Strong understanding of driver hours and transport compliance • Professional and reliable approach to work • Good understanding and exposure of UK routes What’s on offer: • Competitive hourly rates with enhanced pay available for nights/weekends • Flexible working patterns available • Ongoing training and support • Pension scheme • Long-term opportunities with a growing transport operation If this is the type of role you are currently seeking, submit your CV today using the relevant link.
