Australian Institute of Higher Education Pty Ltd T/A AIH Level 1, 20 Queen Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000 Full time Sales and Marketing Manager contracted as Director of Student Recruitment (Victoria) SALARY $100,000, plus $20,000 target incentive plus superannuation DUTIES • Lead the development and execution of sales strategies for the designated region to maximize organisational revenue, enhance customer loyalty, and achieve gross margin performance aligned with approved budgets. • Manage all student recruitment activities, proactively addressing concerns, and anticipating stakeholder expectations to contribute to student growth, profitability, and AIH’s reputation. • Own the regional sales plans, including sales targets, partner and staff KPIs, ensuring alignment with AIH’s strategic objectives. • Develop and manage a network of strategic onshore and offshore partners, including higher education agents and institutions, to drive enrolments and achieve AIH’s objectives. • Plan innovative marketing campaigns and messaging that is tailored to local audience to effectively promote AIH’s programs and enhance market presence. • Actively promote AIH’s brand image, foster customer retention, and enhance stakeholder engagement while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and cultural expectations. • Monitor market trends, industry performance, and competitor activities to refine strategies and provide data-driven recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). • Support process optimisation initiatives, such as offshoring and outsourcing, to maximize efficiency and return on investment in alignment with organisational objectives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesion between sales, marketing, and overall business objectives while maintaining a student-centric approach. • Managing budgets for sales and marketing activities, ensuring operations are cost-effective and adhere to financial targets. • Provide reports and insights on the performance of sales and marketing initiatives to the ELT. • Evaluate the impact of B2C and B2B activities on business objectives, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation. • Lead and mentor a growing team to achieve AIH’s strategic objectives. • Live AIH’s core values #TogetherEveryoneAchievesMore, #BeReal, #GoodtoGreat, #MakeEveryCustomerLoveUs, and #ActLikeanOwner in all aspects of the role. REQUIRED SKILLS • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; lived experience as an international student is valued but not required. • 3-5 years of experience in international student recruitment within higher education or a closely related field, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets and managing recruitment pipelines effectively. • Demonstrated leadership and management skills in overseeing sales and marketing teams, with the ability to contribute to organisational growth through process improvements and new initiatives. • Strong understanding of market research, brand management, and consumer behaviour, with experience in developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans. • In-depth knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment for international student visas, higher education admission requirements, and the assessment of advanced standing. • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with an understanding of cross-cultural nuances, particularly in key markets such as India, Pakistan, Nepal, Indonesia, and Vietnam. • Familiarity with industry trends, digital marketing tools, and CRM systems, with demonstrated proficiency in managing and optimizing campaigns for maximum impact. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate campaign performance, adapt strategies effectively, and drive results. • Experience in budget management and financial planning for sales and marketing activities, ensuring cost-effective operations. • A results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, maintaining alignment with organisational objectives. Languages English. Ability to converse fluently with students and agents of Indian, Nepalese, Indonesian and/or Malaysian descent greatly valued. Additional comments This is a permanent full-time leadership position critical to the long-term growth and strategic expansion of AIH’s Melbourne campus operations.
