Skeagh Farms ULC. are seeking HGV drivers for their farm at Tullynaskeagh, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of livestock, animal feed, farm supplies, and agricultural materials to and from the pig farm and associated facilities. The role requires compliance with road safety regulations, animal welfare standards, and farm operational procedures. Key Responsibilities: -Operate Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) for farm-related transport activities. -Transport livestock in accordance with animal welfare. -Deliver feed, equipment, and supplies to farm locations safely and on schedule. -Carry out daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks. -Ensure vehicles are kept clean and roadworthy at all times. -Follow health and safety procedures and comply with Irish road transport regulations. -Assist with loading and unloading of livestock and farm materials when required. -Coordinate with farm management regarding delivery schedules and transport requirements. -Report vehicle defects, accidents, or delays promptly to management. Requirements: -Valid HGV driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category. ( C, C1, CE) -Valid Driver CPC certification. -A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role essential. -Good understanding of road safety and transport regulations. -Good communication and organizational skills.
