About the Company

Multiplier Holdings is a VC-backed startup that acquires and scales high-impact professional services firms through AI and automation. We operate in high-stakes verticals like tax and corporate accounting, where complex workflows, regulatory requirements, and talent shortages create significant opportunities for automation.

Unlike traditional software vendors, Multiplier integrates tech and service delivery under one roof. We build in-house AI and workflow components configured to fit the needs of each acquired firm — increasing efficiency and productivity while elevating the experience for clients and staff.

We're scaling from 3 to 10+ portfolio companies by mid-2026, across ~15 countries and ~500 employees.

Why This Role Exists

When Multiplier acquires a firm, we need to get them live on our platform — billing, dashboards, data infrastructure, operational tooling — fast. And once they're live, we need to make sure they're getting maximum value from what we've built, because that's what drives FCF lift across the portfolio.

This role is the person who makes that happen. You'll lead the platform onboarding workstream for new firms — coordinating with PX leads and pod teams to get data, billing, and measurement infrastructure stood up within 30 days of close. You'll own the financial and operational dashboards that let our holdco team manage a multi-entity, multi-country portfolio. And you'll be the connective tissue between our ops and finance team, our portfolio companies, and our Platform engineering team — translating business needs into platform roadmap priorities and shipping what you can directly.

This is SF-based deliberately: our Platform engineering team is here, and this work requires tight, synchronous collaboration to move fast.

What You'll Own

Holdco Data & Reporting

Your first and primary customer is the Multiplier ops and finance team. You'll own the financial and operational reporting layer that lets us manage and scale across entities and countries:

  • Build and maintain FCF, billing, revenue, and portfolio-level KPI dashboards in our BI stack (Metabase + BigQuery today, evolving)

  • Write the SQL that powers those dashboards and partner with Platform engineering on underlying data models and infrastructure

  • Enable self-serve reporting so the ops and finance team can answer their own data questions without filing a ticket

  • Identify opportunities to layer AI-assisted tooling (e.g., text-to-SQL, natural language data access) on top of what you build — you should have opinions on where this is heading, even if it's not Day 1 priority

Portfolio Companies — Billing & Platform Delivery

For portcos, you own platform delivery in billing, dashboarding, and operational tooling:

  • Billing delivery — own Stripe-level configuration, support, and ongoing billing operations for portfolio companies; work with Platform engineering to escalate and prioritize platform-level billing changes

  • Dashboarding — build and maintain firm-level financial and operational dashboards; define and instrument baseline metrics within 30 days of firm close

  • Last-mile customization — tailor existing platform tools to firm-specific needs using configurations, integrations, scripts, and lightweight code

  • Onboarding — lead the platform onboarding workstream for new acquisitions, coordinating with PX leads and pod teams to get firms live on Multiplier's stack quickly and completely

Platform Roadmap & Collaboration

You're not a ticket passer. You work closely with Platform engineering to understand where portfolio companies aren't getting maximum value from the platform, shape features to close those gaps, and help steer the platform roadmap:

  • Develop a deep understanding of platform capabilities and where they fall short for real firm workflows

  • Translate business needs from ops, finance, and portco teams into clear, prioritized engineering requirements

  • Help Platform engineering make the right build vs. configure vs. skip decisions by bringing concrete business context

  • Triage and manage the pipeline of platform requests across the portfolio

How We'll Measure Success

Metric What it measures Metrics readiness Time from firm close to baseline dashboards live Dashboard adoption % of holdco and portco teams using self-serve reporting Billing delivery Billing accuracy and time-to-live for new firms on Stripe Platform value realization Portco satisfaction with platform tooling and measurable FCF impact.

Who You Are

  • 3–8 years of relevant experience. This could be analytics engineering, BI development, solutions engineering, SaaS implementation, or a highly dynamic role like technical biz ops or Chief of Staff where you were writing SQL and shipping tools alongside strategy. You've been the best person in that role and you're ready for more scope.

  • A true technical hybrid. You write SQL fluently and can ship lightweight code — configurations, integrations, queries, scripts. You're comfortable in TypeScript or similar and reach for code before a no-code tool. But you're not looking for a pure engineering role: you want to sit at the intersection of product, data, and operations and own outcomes, not just outputs.

  • Strong in BI and dashboarding. Experienced with any standard BI tool — Metabase, Sigma, Hex, Looker, or equivalent. Strong BigQuery or comparable warehouse fluency. You know when the tool is the bottleneck and when the data model is.

  • Curious about AI-assisted workflows. You've experimented with LLM-based data tools, text-to-SQL, or agentic workflows and have real opinions about where this is going — even if you haven't shipped them at scale yet.

  • Genuine business acumen. You understand what drives revenue, what FCF actually means, how financial reporting works, and why a portco finance lead cares about that number. You can make tradeoff decisions grounded in business impact, not just technical elegance.

  • You speak product. You can translate messy business needs into clear engineering requirements, prioritize a backlog, and push back when the ask doesn't match the impact.

  • Startup scrappiness. You've worked where the roadmap changes weekly and you're still shipping. You don't wait for permission or perfect specs.

  • Clear communicator. You can present to senior operators, build buy-in without a script, and write a requirements doc that an engineer actually wants to read.

What This Role Is Not

  • A support ticket queue. Teams should never feel like they're logging helpdesk requests.

  • A shadow engineering team. You ship configs, queries, and integrations. Platform engineering ships platform features. You complement them, you don't duplicate them.

  • A pod-embedded PX role. Our PX team works within specific product verticals on firm-level adoption and product onboarding. This role is Platform-focused, SF-based, and works across the whole portfolio.

  • A pure data role. Dashboards and data infrastructure are critical, but you're equally accountable for billing delivery and platform adoption.
