We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Data Steward to join our team. This role is accountable for ensuring quality, governance, and usability of data across the organization through metadata collection and communication across all data governance policies, managing data quality, and source data-related requests.

Responsibilities

  • Manage metadata-related requests and documentation.

  • Act as a business/governance analyst to document and manage data-related topics.

  • Work with source data owners and business partners to ensure documented data ownership.

  • Follow data governance policy and standards.

  • Identify data issues and escalate through the proper governance process.

  • Profile and create basic data quality checks.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Data Governance, with a strong understanding of data management principles and practices.

  • Familiarity with Data Engineering concepts, including data ingestion processes and tools, particularly in Databricks.

  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

  • A balance of soft skills, including teamwork, adaptability, and conflict resolution.
