Segment Controlling
- Business partner who drives fact based decision making and focus on value creation/profitable growth of the respective segment
- Support Segment Strategy planning with regards to content, process and timing. Monitor monthly progress of Hoshin programs
- Responsible for Actual and Forecast reporting for Segment (Full P&L excl. manufacturing variations, Sales/margin development, receivables, segment related investment (capacity expansion) and fixed headcount for segment relevant functions
- Ensure target setting for margins and profitability by business cells (e.g. sales channel, product groups)
- Responsible for segment specific Budget planning processes and according to BA Controlling requirements
- Responsible for customer overdue reduction programs in collaboration with credit management
- Responsible to identify potentials to optimize segment related fix cost for, follow up with CUs and proper documentation (e.g. in Sprint)
- Responsible for Commercial Excellence segment reporting and dialogs with BA Controlling/Management
Sales Controlling

- Define, align, implement and maintain meaningful sales/margin performance reporting based on relevant business cells (e.g. Sales channels, product groups, sales responsibilties)
- Analyse sales/margin/ROS by buiness cells, indentifiy chances and risks and propose countermeasures
- Drive regular execution of commercial excellence playbooks to identify margin improvement potential and support dialogs with BA and Sector
- Track price measures (price pull/value selling measures) by business cell including required documentation (e.g. Sprint)
- Ensure quality and consistence of RFQ/PCIS calculations and tools
Investments
- Responsible for financial evaluation of new investments into growth of business (expansion eCRs)
- Ensure profitability tracking of main customer projects during gate review process (depends on BA process where applicable)
- Responsible for evaluation of PCAs for growth of business investment projects
Special Tasks
- Responsible for financial analysis of any relevant business case driven by Segment
- Support of M&A projects by analysis P&L and balance sheets of potential sellers, development of Business Plans, P75 calculation, as well as integration of acquired targets
- Ensure Controlling input for management meetings and reviews in case of special ad-hoc tasks
Compliance/ Process
- Ensures that all corporate policies are performed in compliance with relevant corporate, local, state and federal laws and regulations
- Support and guide Legal Entities in Corporate Audits.
- Ensure implementation of Sector/BA procedures and processes.
- Share best practice ideas developed in BA within segment organisation
- Proactively leverage best practices existing in the Segment (e.g. through networking)
