Position Title: Substitute Paraprofessional Location: Reynoldsburg City Schools / Reynoldsburg, OH Employment Type: As Needed / Part-Time / On-Call Pay Rate: $16.05/Hour About the Role Dedicated School Staffing is seeking reliable, patient, and supportive Substitute Paraprofessionals to assist classrooms when regular staff members are unavailable. This role is important in maintaining a structured and inclusive learning environment while providing academic and behavioral support to students across general and special education settings. Key Responsibilities Assist teachers with instructional delivery, classroom activities, and student supervision Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups, including students with special needs Carry out accommodations and modifications under the direction of certified staff or intervention specialists Support students with daily school routines such as transitions, organization, and participation in learning activities Monitor students in various school environments including classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and dismissal areas Reinforce positive behavior and help maintain a safe, respectful classroom climate Follow lesson plans, behavior intervention plans, and established safety procedures Communicate and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff Record and report student behavior, progress, or incidents when required Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalent required Valid Ohio educational aide permit or other approved teaching license (per state requirements) Successful completion of background screening Ability to work with students in a calm, respectful, and supportive manner Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow directions and adjust to different classroom environments Physical ability to assist students when necessary (including mobility or classroom support tasks) Compliance with the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings Experience supporting students with disabilities Training in behavior support, classroom management, or de-escalation techniques What We Offer Flexible, as-needed scheduling Opportunities to gain hands-on experience in education Potential access to long-term substitute assignments Pathways to other school-based roles Optional medical benefit eligibility Enrollment in the School Employees Retirement System (SERS)
