Position Title: Substitute Teacher Location: Danbury Local Schools / Lakeside-Marblehead, OH Employment Type: As Needed / Part-Time / On-Call Pay Rate: $115/Day About the Role Dedicated School Staffing is seeking dependable, flexible, and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers to support schools when full-time teachers are unavailable. This position helps ensure continuity of learning by following lesson plans, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and supporting students’ academic and social growth. Key Responsibilities Implement lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular classroom teacher Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment Provide clear instruction and support to students throughout the school day Adapt to different grade levels and subject areas as needed Take attendance and complete required documentation Communicate effectively with school staff and administrators Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, or other assigned duties Required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalent required Valid substitute teaching license or higher teaching license (as required by state regulations) Clean criminal background check Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow lesson plans and adjust to different classroom settings Patience, professionalism, and a student-centered approach Adherence to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching or childcare experience Familiarity with classroom management strategies Experience working with diverse student populations What We Offer Flexible scheduling options Opportunities to gain classroom experience Pathways to long-term substitute assignments Potential pathways to full-time teaching roles Options for limited medical benefits Enrollment in the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS)
