Position Title: Substitute Teacher Location: Eastwood Local Schools / Pemberville, OH Employment Type: As Needed / Part-Time / On-Call About the Role Dedicated School Staffing, in partnership with the Wood County Educational Service Center, is seeking flexible, dependable, and motivated Substitute Teachers to support classrooms during teacher absences. This role helps ensure continuity in instruction by delivering prepared lessons, supporting student learning, and maintaining a structured and positive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities Implement lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the classroom teacher Maintain classroom structure and reinforce a respectful, productive learning environment Provide instruction and academic support across assigned grade levels and subjects Adjust instruction as needed based on classroom dynamics and student needs Record attendance and complete required daily documentation Communicate and collaborate with school staff and administration Supervise students during transitions, lunch periods, recess, and other assigned times Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Valid Ohio substitute teaching license or other approved teaching credential Successful completion of background screening requirements Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow instructional plans and adapt to varied classroom settings Professional, patient, and student-focused approach Compliance with the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators Preferred Qualifications Experience in teaching, tutoring, or childcare settings Familiarity with classroom management techniques Experience working with diverse learners and student populations
