HR Manager (Organizational Design - Part-Time) 100% Remote Role 6-12 Months Long-Term Contract (Possible extensions & conversion into FT) Work Hours: fractional support 20 hrs a week Interviews: 1 or 2 rounds Job Description: The Organizational Design Part-Time Manager is a strategic role responsible for shaping the company’s structural framework to improve efficiency, collaboration, and performance. You will analyze workflows, team dynamics, and hierarchies to build sustainable systems that directly support the organization's strategic objectives. You will also act as an expert consultant to leadership, guiding teams through change management and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: • Organizational Assessment & Strategy Alignment o Partner with executive leadership to translate long-term business goals into effective organizational structures. o Conduct comprehensive task analyses, workflow audits, and capability assessments to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and capability gaps. o Continuously evaluate span of control, centralization/decentralization, and chain of command to ensure optimal operational flow • Job Architecture & Role Design o Build and maintain a robust, scalable job architecture, including defined job families, levels, and career paths. o Collaborate with compensation teams to map roles to skills frameworks and equitable pay structures. o Draft objective, clear, and up-to-date job descriptions for all positions across the organization. • Change Management & Implementation o Develop and execute actionable change management plans to minimize disruption and ensure smooth transitions during restructurings. Guide managers and employees through organizational shifts, providing the necessary coaching and communication strategies. Monitor adoption rates and gather feedback to refine structures for long-term adaptability. • Continuous Improvement & Analytics o Design and manage performance management systems and organizational climate surveys to track the health of new structural changes. Maintain and validate accurate organizational charts and workforce composition models.
