About the Role

We are hiring a Patient Access Specialist to support a fast‑paced healthcare environment. This role focuses on administrative and clerical support related to patient records, billing documentation, and internal requests.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, customer service experience, and interest in building a career in healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and fulfill requests for medical records, EOBs, UB‑92 forms, and itemized statements
• Sort, track, and distribute incoming mail and documentation
• Perform general office tasks including filing, scanning, indexing, and data entry
• Review and process claims and documentation from multiple sources
• Work within system queues and online files to complete assigned tasks
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely completion of work items
• Communicate with internal teams regarding requests and documentation needs

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous administrative, office, or customer service experience
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and handle research tasks
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience in healthcare or patient access
• Exposure to EPIC or similar systems
• Data entry or 10‑key experience
• Customer service experience

Schedule & Work Environment

• On‑site role in Chattanooga, TN
• Office/healthcare setting with a collaborative team environment
• Various shift options may be available (day, mid, or rotating schedules)
• Fast‑paced environment with high daily volume

Additional Requirements

• Background check required
• Drug screening required
• Pre‑employment health screenings and immunizations may be required

This is a Contract position based out of Chattanooga, TN.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
