We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join our team here at Monread Truck Bodies Ltd. This full-time permanent role will be based in the Naas area. Successful candidates will be responsible for the operation of tasks assigned to them, participating in physical work and sharing knowledge on site. This role will ensure the successful delivery of works in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities will include: • Using and maintaining specialised machines and tools. • Assembling components so they are ready for installation. • Reading and interpreting project plans. • Coordinating with the management and other workers for efficient installations. • Performing MIG, TIG and other types of welding methods depending on the project. • Troubleshoot and fixing faults both on mechanical and electrical systems. • Carrying out planned maintenance duties. • Demonstrate flexibility and mobility as needed to support operational needs. Ability to change to any shift pattern to meet the business needs. It is likely shift pattern will be weekends. • Previous welding experience is important for the role (minimum 1 year); Abrasive wheel training and experience highly desirable. • Candidates must be competent and able to work on own initiative. • Meet daily and weekly production targets. • Physical role including lifting and standing. • Other duties as assigned. Skills/ Experience Required: • Each candidate must be of good character, be flexible and be able to work in a team. All employees must follow all standard operating and health and safety procedures of Monread Truck Bodies Ltd. Training programs will be given to all successful candidates. • Qualified as a Mechanical Fitter. • Experience with fabrication, welding, turning, and grinding. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • High standard of time keeping and attendance. Remuneration • Minimum Annual remuneration: € 36,605 or €18.05 per hour. • Training in English skills and the company operating procedures will be given. • Access to suitable accommodation will be available. • Standard working week is 39 hours.
