Post Summary: The School of Education seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor in Educational Assessment (Specific Purpose). The Assistant Professor in Educational Assessment will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in the field of Educational Assessment in Trinity College Dublin’s School of Education. The successful candidate will work with well-established teams on our initial teacher education, masters and doctoral programmes in this critical area and support the future development of the field as part of the School's strategic plan. They will have a strong background in Educational Assessment and be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will contribute to the School’s postgraduate taught and research programmes including supervision at masters and doctoral levels. Post status: Specific Purpose Contract The specific purpose of this employment is to fill a vacancy on a temporary basis pending the return of the postholder from secondment. Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as the original postholder is expected to return. If the postholder does not return to work the post will be filled through open competition. Hours of Post: Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.
