The Role: Calibre is seeking a motivated and experienced fitter, responsible for executing a variety of essential tasks including: Key Responsibilities: -Completion of alignment utilising digital aligning equipment. -Rebuilding fixed plant equipment to ensure optimal functionality and performance. -Overhauling various pumps, including slurry and water pumps. -Confidently working on conveyor systems to maintain efficiency and reliability. -Undertaking maintenance and repairs on floatation systems and/or thickener to uphold operational integrity. -Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, supervisors, and engineers to optimize performance. -Ensure all repairs and maintenance work comply with safety regulations and industry standards. -Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation. -Perform breakdown repairs efficiently to minimize downtime. -Adhere to workplace safety protocols, risk assessments, and environmental policies. -Provide training and mentorship to apprentices and junior team members. -Liaise with service advisors or clients to provide technical recommendations and updates. What We’re Looking For: -Relevant trade qualifications and certification. -Minimum 2 3 years of proven experience in similar positions, completing alignments with proficiency in utilising digital aligning equipment. -Proficiency in rebuilding various pumps, including slurry and water pumps. -Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and procedures. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
