Position Title: Logistics Specialist Employer: A2S Logistics Inc. o/a A2S Logistics Employer Address: 8551 Weston Road, Unit 211, Woodbridge, Ontario L4L 9R4 Work Location: Woodbridge, Ontario Language of Work: English Terms of the Position: - Terms: Permanent, full-time - Hours: 40 hour/week - Wage: $36/hour - Benefits: o Health care plan Skills and Experience Requirements: - Education: o College diploma in business, supply chain management, or a related field - Minimum Experience Requirements: o Two years or more of related experience in the freight forwarding/logistics industry - Knowledge: o Demonstrate experience with international shipping/freight forwarding operations o Demonstrate experience and familiarity with Sysfreight Software o Possess experience and knowledge of AMS (Automated Manifest System), ISF (Importer Security Filing) and ACI (Advance Commercial Information) o Demonstrate ability to research and develop export trade lanes and new client and/or carrier relationships Job Duties: - Business development and research o Research and develop export trade lanes by collecting and validating data and collecting information from overseas partners/shipping agents/carriers related to potential trade lanes o Research potential new clients and develop relationships with new clients o Prepare reports/summaries and advise leadership on development of new trade lanes and partnerships - Coordinate and arrange for operational and logistics processes o Consult with and advise clients on best options for logistics and shipping services o Advise clients on various carrier and shipping options as well as on process and requirements for domestic and international shipping o Coordinate logistics process with in-house departments including customs and shipping and follow up with clients advising on the progress of their shipments o Prepare and provide quotes to clients based on specifications of orders o Negotiate rates and services with overseas agents and suppliers o Communicate with suppliers and overseas agents to coordinate logistics and shipments o Coordinate between suppliers/overseas agents and company departments (customs, shipping/operations) to ensure client shipments are shipped efficiently o Supervise client deadlines and coordinate with company departments and overseas agents or suppliers to ensure client shipments arrive in time o Document and maintain records and reports of shipments, clients, agents and suppliers - Supervise and support commercial support resource worker To Apply: Email: All applications must include a cover letter.
