Position Title: Senior Freight Forwarding Supervisor Employer: A2S Logistics Inc. o/a A2S Logistics Employer Address: 8551 Weston Road, Unit 211, Woodbridge, Ontario L4L 9R4 Work Location: Woodbridge, Ontario Language of Work: English Terms of the Position: - Terms: Permanent, full-time - Hours: 40 hours/week - Wage: $36/hour - Benefits: o Health care plan Skills and Experience Requirements: - Education: o High school or higher - Minimum Experience Requirements: o Two years or more of related experience in the freight forwarding/logistics industry as a Freight Forwarding/Logistics Supervisor or related role - Knowledge: o Demonstrate experience with international shipping/freight forwarding operations o Demonstrate experience and familiarity with Sysfreight and GoFreight o Possess experience and knowledge of AMS (Automated Manifest System), ISF (Importer Security Filing) and ACI (Advance Commercial Information) Job Duties: - Lead and manage the logistics team handling global freight operations, including sea, air and land shipments - Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the logistics teams in the company’s Canadian and international offices to support operations - Train new team members - Enhance department efficiency and compliance with international trade regulations through effective supervision and development and deployment of team policies and processes - Oversee import and export processes/operations using GoFreight system for end to end shipment tracking - Document or review and approve all documentation related to import/export processes and operations - Manage key client accounts - Develop tailored logistics solutions for clients - Collaborate with sales teams to support business development, quoting and pricing strategies - Assess, develop and streamline operational workflows to improve visibility, accuracy and delivery times and make recommendations to improve efficiency - Negotiate with freight forwarders, carriers and agents to optimize shipping costs and improve service quality - Analyze shipping routes and identify cost-saving opportunities - Enhance company service reliability - Manage and report to senior managers on team/department budget, overseeing profits and losses of the department To Apply: Email: All applications must include a cover letter.
