Hi, I’m recruiting for a legal secretary or administrator or assistant capable of doing some office management operations work, ordering supplies, handling documentation, doing spreadsheets, capable of assisting with filings, etc. Los Angeles, CA 5+ yrs. exp. $95-$120K DOE. Litigation experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, edit, format, cite check, and proofread legal briefs, motions, and appendices in compliance with federal and state appellate rules (including Bluebook and California Style Manual).
Coordinate the filing and service of documents with courts and agencies; liaise directly with clerk’s offices.
Organize and manage case files, build document databases, and maintain litigation calendars.
Support multiple case teams simultaneously; serve as a key liaison between attorneys, internal teams, and external vendors.
Assist with court filings via PACER, CM/ECF, and other electronic platforms.
Track and enter billable time, meet billable hour targets, and support overall litigation workflow.
Work overtime and travel as needed.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of legal experience is required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, legal research tools (LexisNexis/Westlaw), and document management systems.
Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program and a bachelor’s degree preferred
