It is seeking to hire a Compliance Manager to carry out the following duties: help the company navigate all applicable international trade compliance and regulatory standards for its food products including laws, regulations, and industry standards; analyze operations and identify potential compliance issues in areas ranging from import and export tax and duty, tariff, transportation, and import/export control regulations and recordkeeping requirements to registration and labeling requirements; analyze international trade agreements, advising management on methods to reduce risk of potential compliance related legal issues and assisting in development of appropriate compliance and regulatory training programs in coordination with management and internal and external legal and other experts as appropriate; develop standard operating procedures for customs brokers; monitor and review international trade activities, auditing US import transactions to test compliance processes and procedures and performance of custom brokers, carriers, and other third parties and developing corrective action recommendations as needed.
