Responsibilities

• Detail understanding of “TAKE CONTROL of SAFETY” expectations, along with an excellent safety record
• Drive all components of TCOS (High risk exposures, PSIF initiatives/management, etc.)
• Repair / rebuild various mill equipment on a routine basis (process rolls, pot equipment, scalebreaker cassettes, etc.)
• Lead mechanical maintenance tasks on planned down-days / outages
• Assist millwrights with breakdowns
• Operate all cold mill mobile equipment as necessary
• Rig and lift equipment for loading, unloading and/or installation
• Inspect cold mill lifting slings/chains and safety showers
• Understand and comply with all cold mill safety standards (confined space, respirators, acid resistant PPE, furnace atmosphere LOTO, etc)

Qualifications

Required

• General mechanical aptitude
• Ability to self-motivate and prioritize without direct supervision
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Dedication to safety
• Problem solving, troubleshooting and quick thinking

Preferred

• Hydraulics, pneumatics, alignment, lubrication, power transmission
• Previos mechanical maintenance
