We are seeking an experienced Director of Business Intelligence to lead and expand our BI and analytics capabilities. The successful candidate will be a crucial part of our leadership team, collaborating with stakeholders across all departments to drive data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.

We work cross-functionally with everyone from Finance to Product to Marketing and Support and provide data from sources like subscriptions, revenue, product event tracking and support volume. In this role, you’ll be the owner and representative of our entire analytics staff, from infrastructure to BI tool and responsible for elevating data literacy across Jane.

What Impact We’re Looking for You to Make

  • Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives and growth targets.

  • Develop strong partnerships across Jane to collaborate with leaders from Dev, Product, Marketing and Support on prioritizing data informed decision making and supporting departments with their roadmaps.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage data to drive innovation and enhance operational efficiency, continuously innovating data management practices to ensure future-proofed implementations.

  • Manage and improve our existing analytics pipeline, including software and processes and vendor management, while implementing and integrating new visualization tools

  • Collaborate with Privacy & Security team to implement data governance policies and practices to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance

  • Offer technical leadership and guidance to the data engineering team, encouraging a culture of innovation and continuous improvement among BI team

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and data informed decision making across the company

  • Mentor and develop technology leaders within the organization, emphasizing people development and growth

What Experience We Need

  • At least ten years of experience in Business Intelligence or a related field, with a proven track record in a leadership role within a SaaS or technology company.

  • Experience balancing requirements and objectives across the organization to scale BI/engineering tooling in a thoughtful, values-driven way

  • Strong technical skills with experience in BI tools such as Snowflake, Looker, and Fivetran and Census

  • Ability to build trusted relationships as a pro-active transparent communicator

  • Ability to negotiate, prioritize and make trade-off decisions with commitment to the customer in mind

  • Action-oriented, ready to role up their sleeves and do the detailed technical work while also building scalable processes and empowering others

  • A strong perspective on the best strategy for in data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL processes at Jane

  • Passion for mentorship and demonstrated success in fostering a culture of data informed decision making

  • Demonstrate curiosity, and not be afraid to question the status quo and willingness to operate without ego

  • Passion for improving processes and using technology to help make the BI team more efficient

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to take extreme ownership

Compensation & Benefits

At Jane, we believe in paying fairly, clearly, and for growth. Our salary bands are intentionally wide — reflecting the full journey someone takes in a role, with real room to grow as your impact deepens over time.

Most new hires join at the accomplished stage, with salaries above that typically reflecting existing team members who've made significant impact and built deep Jane-specific knowledge. For this role, accomplished looks like:

  • Canada: $191,300 – $258,800 (accomplished: ~$225,000)

  • United States: $198,900 – $269,100 USD (accomplished: ~$234,000)

This role also includes equity through our JSOP (Jane Stock Option Plan). Our stock has grown 11x over the past six years, with three opportunities to exercise options along the way. Jane was valued at $1.8B in May 2025, and with the backing of TCV, we have ambitious plans ahead.
