About the Project & Change Management Consultant Role
The Project & Change Management Consultant serves as an internal advisor and strategic partner to business leaders and project teams, helping drive successful execution of high-impact initiatives and durable organizational change. This role combines project leadership, stakeholder engagement, organizational change management, and operational consulting to ensure initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes and sustained adoption.
In a fast-growing and evolving environment, the Consultant works across functions to improve clarity, alignment, decision-making, and execution discipline while helping teams navigate change effectively. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable facilitating executive discussions, structuring complex initiatives, managing ambiguity, and coaching teams through transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership and Change Management Execution
- Partner with business and functional leaders to define project objectives, scope, success metrics, timelines, and governance structures
- Lead or support cross-functional initiatives from planning through implementation and stabilization
- Identify risks, dependencies, and organizational barriers, and develop mitigation strategies to maintain momentum and outcomes
- Facilitate project planning sessions, decision forums, status reviews, and executive updates
- Establish practical project management approaches appropriate to the scale and complexity of initiatives
Organizational Change Management
- Assess organizational readiness and stakeholder impacts associated with strategic initiatives
- Create Two-Way Feedback Loops: Designing mechanisms (e.g., pulse surveys, focus groups) to capture employee concerns, manage resistance, and report data to leadership
- Develop and execute change management plans that support adoption, engagement, and sustained behavior change. Craft communication plans that outline who needs to hear what, when they need to hear it, and the preferred channel for delivery
- Partner with leaders to create effective communication, training, and stakeholder engagement strategies. Equip executives, sponsors, and middle managers with talking points and change management tools to become effective communicators and champions of the change
- Coach leaders and teams through periods of transition, ambiguity, and growth
- Monitor adoption, feedback, and change effectiveness, adjusting strategies as needed
What You’ll Bring
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Operations, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in project management, change management, consulting, operations, or related roles
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced or high-growth environments
- Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence without direct authority and build credibility across all organizational levels
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience managing multiple priorities and navigating ambiguity effectively
Preferred
- Experience in management consulting, transformation, or organizational effectiveness roles
- Familiarity with formal project and change management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMP, Lean)
- Experience supporting organizational scaling, transformation, or post-merger integration efforts
- Certification in project management or change management methodologies is a plus
