- 5+ years of professional .NET development with strong C# fundamentals
- Proven experience with ASP.NET Core and modern .NET (6/7/8)
- Azure cloud experience — deployments, services, and ideally some migration work
- Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar)
- Comfortable working in and improving legacy codebases, not just greenfield
- SQL Server and Entity Framework experience
- Able to communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to non-technical stakeholders
You'll take ownership of core backend systems that are due for modernization. That means rearchitecting aging infrastructure, introducing CI/CD where it's missing, improving reliability, and building new features on top of a cleaner foundation. You'll have a real voice in technical decisions and be expected to bring opinions — we want someone who can point at our stack and say "here's what we should do next."
