Job Description
Visa is seeking a Director of Business Development for the NA Marketing Services team. This leader will be responsible for driving strategic business development initiatives, leading high-impact client engagements, and overseeing the development of compelling RFP responses and pitch materials across all North America clients.
In addition to hands-on leadership in key deals, this role will manage and develop a small, high-performing team, ensuring delivery excellence while scaling capabilities, processes, and content to support growth. The Director will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, influencing client outcomes and enabling revenue growth across issuers, merchants, co-brands, and fintech partners.
Strategic Leadership & Business Development
- Own and drive the business development strategy for NA Marketing Services, aligned with Visa’s growth priorities
- Lead complex, high-value RFP responses, pitch strategies, and deal support to position Visa as a strategic partner
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Consulting teams to identify opportunities and shape client solutions
- Deliver thought leadership and innovative marketing perspectives to support client acquisition and growth
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 10–12+ years of experience, including business development, consulting, marketing, or strategy roles
- Prior people management experience, with demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
- Deep expertise in RFP processes, sales enablement, and strategic storytelling
- Strong executive presence with experience engaging senior leaders and influencing decisions
- Experience in payments, financial services, or client-facing marketing environments preferred

The estimated salary range for this position is $151,600 to $285,600 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Travel Requirements
This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
