Design and develop applications or systems architecture. Develop enterprise-level application or system solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions and features. Interact directly with technical experts and practitioners to identify architecture challenges and opportunities and resolve architecture issues related to applications, programs and technology. Develop and document current and target state architecture diagrams and mappings. Develop application portfolio and technology strategies, standards and roadmaps. Contribute to the development of domain architecture and integration of common strategies. Provide architecture oversight of application and technology projects and programs. Provide architectural guidance and mentoring to multiple development teams. Develop high level application and technology design architecture for application portfolios and major program initiatives. Develop programming and development standards and procedures as well as programming architectures for code reuse. Have knowledge of state-of-the-art programming languages and use object-oriented approaches to build scalable, stable and secure frameworks, platforms, or applications that meet business requirements and integrate with existing software. The position is a fixed location based in Framingham, MA office; however, telecommuting from a home office 2 days per week may also be allowed. 40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm Education and Experience Requirements Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Computer Engineering, or a directly related field plus seven (7) years of experience in an architectural role. Experience must include: Seven (7) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): - Designing and implementing data structures for warehousing and analytics (OLAP), including Customer 360, Pricing Personalization, and foundational data layers. - Designing, building, and optimizing ETL/ELT workflows and high-performance data pipelines using Tidal, dBT, ADF, Informatica, PySpark, and Solace. - Building real-time streaming pipelines and automated data quality guardrails for business stakeholders. Five (5) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): - Developing automation frameworks and data validation tools in Python. - Architecting and migrating large-scale data solutions to cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery and Cloud Composer), AWS, and Azure. - Optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency. - Implementing and maintaining data warehousing solutions for large-scale analytics, including migrations from on-prem to cloud data warehouses. - Experience with BigQuery, VertexAi, Databricks and Snowflake.
