Job Description Summary

Lead the formulation and delivery of new business, strategies and policies for a designated regional area/s. Influence key senior stakeholders, deputise for senior colleagues and contribute to broader LDC strategic planning and business decision-making. Providing new business development, portfolio management and refinances/exits, investment thought leadership and insight capability and risk control across designated area.

Manages strategic client and customer relationships, typically by using large account teams to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty toward the organisation.
Manage relationships with key internal customers and act as their business partner, while typically using support teams to ensure client satisfaction.
Roles at this level are taking strategic direction and leading the execution for a significant area of responsibility e.g. a function.
Takes responsibility for implementing the customer needs strategy for a significant part of the organisation, while possibly leading major strategic bids.
Takes responsibility for implementing formal development frameworks for a substantial department, while informally coaching and mentoring others throughout the organisation and investing in own personal development.
Takes responsibility for developing and delivering a major/important part of the organisation's investment policy and manages an investment management department/unit to maximise the value of these investments in line with the overall strategy.
Manages output delivery for a substantial operational department by leading others.
Sets longer term objectives and takes responsibility for implementing and coordinating performance management systems for a substantial department within the organisation.
Develops innovative solutions by integrating and analysing complex and diverse information sources.
Manages the development and/or delivery of an element of the organisation's strategic planning.

This role is considered Certified under the Senior Manager and Certification Regime as either requiring mandatory qualifications or being deemed as a role capable of providing ‘significant harm’ to customers. Due to this, successful candidates will be subject to enhanced levels of vetting, and required to complete a fitness and propriety attestation on commencement in role. Colleagues performing this role will be required to be complete a fitness and propriety attestation on an annual basis and will also be subject to additional routine criminal and credit checks

This role has been identified as a Client-dealing function under SYSC 27.8.18R as defined in the FCA Handbook

The Person  (“P”) performs the client-dealing FCA certification function for a firm if:(1)  P is carrying out any of the activities in the table in SYSC 27.8.19R; and(2)  those activities will involve P dealing with:(a) a person with or for whom those activities are carried out; or(b) the property of any such person;in a manner substantially connected with the carrying on of regulated activities by the firm.

If you manage certified colleagues this role will be identified as Manager of certification employees under SYSC 27.8.13R as defined in the FCA Handbook(1) The function of managing or supervising a certification employee, directly or indirectly, is an FCA-specified significant-harm function.(2) A function in (1) is not an FCA certification function for that firm if it is performed by an SMF manager of that firm.
