Role Overview

Chartis is seeking a Partner, AI-Enabled Throughput & Command Center Transformation, to lead the development and implementation of AI-enabled solutions across healthcare operational transformation services, with a focus on patient flow, throughput optimization, and real-time hospital operations. This role is responsible for ensuring AI is applied in a practical, scalable, and outcomes-driven manner to improve healthcare system performance, patient access, capacity management, workforce efficiency, and care coordination.

Partners are integral members of our firm’s leadership team providing leadership capital – both internally and externally – to sustain the firm’s rapid growth and ultimately allow it to have a greater impact on the healthcare system. Partners provide leadership across multiple dimensions – thought leadership, consulting engagement delivery, client service, business development, and cultural stewardship. As a member of the leadership team, a Partner is responsible for advancing the firm’s impact by leading the execution and delivery of large, complex consulting engagements, as well as expanding new and potential business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead AI-enabled Throughput and Command Center transformation engagements within Chartis’ Performance Transformation Line of Business, directing engagement teams, guiding strategic problem solving, and overseeing analyses, client deliverables, and implementation activities

  • Design and scale AI-enabled command center operating models that improve real-time hospital operations, patient flow, and enterprise capacity management

  • Identify ways to optimize emergency department throughput, inpatient flow, discharge planning, and care transitions across health systems through data analytics

  • Embed predictive analytics and AI-enabled decision support into bed management, staffing, and throughput workflows

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration among clinical and operational teams with cross-functional AI, analytics, product, and technology teams to develop scalable AI-enabled offering

  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with existing and prospective clients, drawing upon healthcare knowledge and insights to surface and discuss issues within and beyond the scope of specific consulting engagements

  • Embody the role of people leader by cultivating strong relationships with colleagues, as well as mentoring and developing consulting colleagues

  • Help maintain a collaborative culture that attracts world-class, passionate, and mission-driven consultants

  • Support go-to-market strategy, client pursuits, and thought leadership activities

Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree is preferred

  • 10–15+ years of experience in hospital operations, healthcare consulting, throughput transformation, capacity management, or health system operational leadership

  • Deep expertise in patient flow optimization, length of stay reduction, emergency department operations, bed management, and command center operations

  • Experience leading or enabling AI-driven operational transformation initiatives that embed AI-enabled solutions into healthcare workflows and performance improvement efforts

  • Demonstrated success implementing operational transformation initiatives at scale

  • Experience working within complex health systems and matrixed organizations

  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management capabilities

  • Experience collaborating with analytics, data science, or AI teams

  • Strong understanding of operational KPIs and healthcare performance improvement methodologies

Preferred Certifications/Technologies

  • Epic (ADT, capacity management modules)

  • Command center tools (TeleTracking, GE, etc.)

  • Lean / Six Sigma

  • Predictive analytics / AI exposure

Salary range: $251,500-$388,500, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
