This team will be at the center of Indonesia’s payments industry — and help shape where it goes next. You and your team will work with the country’s leading issuers and acquirers to unlock growth across credit, debit, commercial B2B flow and money movement, and value-added services, building stronger portfolios and sharper propositions; and to drive credit expansion in Indonesia. What a Senior Director, Head of Financial Institutions Client Management does at Visa:
As the Senior Director, Head of Financial Institutions Client Management at Visa, you will lead Visa’s largest and most strategically important client segment in Indonesia — our Financial Institutions, which represent the core of Visa’s existing business and growth.
This is a highly visible leadership role, responsible for driving end-to-end client strategy, commercial performance, and innovation across issuing banks and financial institution partners. You will bring strong P&L ownership mindset, payment expertise, and commercial acumen to grow portfolios and acceptance, expand credit and debit businesses across consumers and B2B segment, and deliver sustainable revenue growth for both Visa and our clients.
You will lead a high-performing team focused on strengthening relationships with Indonesia’s top banks, unlocking new opportunities, and delivering measurable business outcomes. Your leadership will ensure that every client engagement translates into tangible growth — from card issuance and usage to portfolio profitability and market share expansion.
This role sits at the heart of Visa’s three strategic focus areas:
1) Core – Consumer Payments
Drive growth in credit, debit, and prepaid portfolios, enhancing card penetration, activation, and usage while improving client portfolio profitability.
2) Commercial & Money Movement Solutions – B2B & Corporate Payments
Partner with Financial Institutions to build and scale commercial card and money movement solutions, unlocking new revenue pools in SME, corporate, and cross-border segments.
3) Value-Added Services
Accelerate adoption of Visa’s advisory, data, risk technology, and loyalty solutions to improve client portfolio performance, optimize P&L, and deepen client engagement.
You will work closely with cross-functional Visa teams locally and across Asia Pacific to bring the best of Visa to clients — positioning Visa as a trusted partner, thought leader, and growth enabler for Financial Institutions in Indonesia.
In addition to its core responsibilities, this role is accountable for delivering financial results, forging strategic relationships with leading banks, and expanding credit and debit portfolios. It also leads the negotiation and execution of impactful commercial agreements, develops tailored account plans, builds and inspires a high-performing team, and cultivates a client-focused growth culture.
Projects you will be a part of:
- Shape Visa’s next phase of growth by building strategic partnerships with Indonesia’s leading financial institutions across consumer payments, B2B payment flows, digital innovation and Visa’s technology stacks.
- Bring new partnership models and payment use cases to market, turning strategic opportunities into scaled commercial outcomes.

Qualifications
What you will need:
- 15+ years of commercial leadership experience with financial institutions, payments, consulting or adjacent sectors; experience in account management, strategic partnerships, or business development is essential.
- Expert negotiation and deal-structuring capability, including comfort with complex contracts, commercial models, incentives, and governance structures.
- Strong understanding of various payment schemes and networks, understanding their operations and regulatory requirements
- Growth mindset and customer obsession - a relentless focus on understanding and meeting customer needs, always working backwards from the customer to provide solutions to meet or exceed expectations.
- Strong people leadership, with the ability to hire, develop, inspire, and retain high-performing teams that consistently deliver business results.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity and ambiguity, build new business motions without an established playbook, and pioneer new use cases with customers and partners.
- Strong program management and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to align executives and coordinate multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and spoken, with strong cross-cultural communication skills.
