About Multiplier
Multiplier Holdings is a VC-backed startup that acquires and scales high-impact professional services firms through AI and automation. Multiplier operates in high-stakes verticals like tax and corporate accounting, where complex workflows, regulatory requirements, and talent shortages create significant opportunities for automation.
Unlike traditional software vendors, Multiplier integrates tech and service delivery under one roof. We build in-house AI and workflow components that can be configured to fit the needs of each acquired firm, increasing firm efficiency and productivity while elevating the experience for both clients and staff. Why This Role Exists
MultiplierOS owns the operating system for the financial and organizational data that runs Multiplier: pricing and quoting, invoicing, payments, ledger, financial reporting, transfer pricing, portfolio company views, company directory, team directory, service directory, and the workflows that connect them.
This is where portfolio-company operations and HoldCo visibility meet. Portfolio companies need tools that make recurring finance, people, and back-office work faster and more reliable. HoldCo leaders need trusted visibility into financial and people performance across the portfolio so they can make better decisions without chasing spreadsheets or asking the same questions every month.
We are looking for a Pod Lead to own this system end-to-end. You will set priorities, manage the team, shape the roadmap, stay close to customers, and drive delivery. This is not a role where you manage from a distance. You should be close enough to the users, data, and technical choices to turn messy operating problems into shipped software.
What You'll Own
MultiplierOS Product Surface
Own the core financial and organizational systems that run Multiplier across HoldCo and portfolio companies.
Build workflows for pricing, quoting, invoicing, payments, ledger, financial reporting, transfer pricing, company views, company directory, team directory, and service directory.
Turn one-off portfolio-company needs into reusable product capabilities without flattening away important workflow differences too early.
Define what should be built into MultiplierOS, what should be configured, and what should remain bespoke for a specific firm.
Customer Understanding and Prioritization
Build a deep understanding of how portfolio companies run financial and people operations today: roles, tasks, handoffs, bottlenecks, and recurring frustrations.
Work with HoldCo leaders and teams to understand the questions they need to answer, the decisions they need to make, and the data they need to trust.
Keep direct communication channels open with operators, finance leads, portfolio company leaders, PX, and internal stakeholders.
Prioritize opportunities based on reach, pain depth, feasibility, business impact, and speed to learning.
Roadmap and Delivery
Own pod priorities, roadmap, delivery, and operating cadence.
Run tight feedback loops: discovery, prototype, demo, ship, measure, and iterate.
Keep the team focused on concrete customer outcomes rather than abstract platform work.
Create crisp specs and decision docs for ambiguous work, then keep momentum when requirements are incomplete.
Maintain a weekly delivery rhythm and regular demos so stakeholders can see progress against real workflows and real data.
Financial and Organizational Data Foundation
Partner with engineering, finance, operations, and PX (Product Experience - like a Forward Deployed PM/Eng) to define the data model that makes MultiplierOS trustworthy.
Improve self-serve reporting for HoldCo and portfolio-company teams, including financial and operational dashboards.
Reduce time-to-answer for recurring HoldCo questions by making the right data accessible, explainable, and reliable.
Ensure core workflows generate the data needed to measure adoption, FCF (Free Cash Flow) impact, staffing leverage, workflow throughput, and service quality.
Team Leadership
Manage, coach, and develop the engineers and product partners on the pod.
Hire into the team thoughtfully as the scope grows across finance, people, reporting, and portfolio operations.
Set a clear bar for engineering quality, delivery ownership, customer empathy, and operational judgment.
Work with senior engineers to define architecture while staying accountable for product and delivery outcomes.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner closely with Infrastructure, PX, Finance, Operations, KIP, and vertical product pods to clarify boundaries and avoid duplicated work.
Be the DRI when ownership is ambiguous: name the customer outcome, make the tradeoff, and keep the work moving.
Escalate thoughtfully when scope, staffing, or cross-portfolio conflicts need executive input.
How We'll Measure Success
Core workflow adoption - Usage of native MultiplierOS workflows for quoting, invoicing, payments, reporting, directories, and portfolio-company views.
Time-to-live for new firms - How quickly newly acquired portfolio companies get usable financial, people, and reporting workflows on MultiplierOS.
Metric coverage and data quality - Whether HoldCo and portfolio-company leaders have trusted, complete, and current financial and people metrics.
Time-to-answer - How quickly recurring HoldCo questions can be answered without manual spreadsheet work or one-off engineering support.
Operational leverage - Time reclaimed and staffing leverage across finance, operations, HR, and recurring back-office workflows.
Discovery-to-ship cycle time - How quickly the pod turns a real customer problem into a prototype, shipped workflow, and measurable feedback loop.
Team clarity and throughput - Whether the pod has clear ownership, strong delivery cadence, healthy technical decisions, and low dependency drag.
Who You Are
8+ years of experience across product engineering, engineering leadership, technical product leadership, or systems-oriented operating roles.
A product and engineering leader. You do not need to be the best engineer in the room, but you can reason about systems, data models, integrations, workflow design, and technical tradeoffs with enough depth to set direction.
A 0-to-1 builder. You have taken ambiguous customer problems and turned them into shipped products, not just managed mature roadmaps.
Comfortable managing people and outcomes. You have managed engineers or cross-functional builders directly, held a high bar, and helped people grow while still staying accountable for delivery.
Strong in complex operational systems. Experience in fintech, accounting, payments, ERP, payroll, HRIS, professional services, marketplace operations, or similarly workflow-heavy domains is a strong plus.
Business-minded. You understand why billing accuracy, FCF, reporting trust, payment reliability, and portfolio-level visibility matter. You can make tradeoffs grounded in business impact, not just technical elegance.
Close to users. You are comfortable talking directly with operators, finance leads, portfolio company leaders, and executives, then translating what you hear into product direction.
Decisive in ambiguity. You can make good calls with incomplete information, write clearly, and keep momentum without waiting for perfect consensus.
Pragmatic about AI and automation. You have useful instincts about where AI can make finance and operations workflows faster, more reliable, or easier to use, without treating AI as a gimmick.
High standards for trust and reliability. The systems you own affect money movement, reporting, and operating decisions. You know when speed matters and when correctness matters more.
What This Role Is Not
A backlog manager. You are accountable for outcomes, software shipping with quality and velocity — not for moving tickets across a board.
A shared platform queue. MultiplierOS is a product team with customers (Finance team, Ops team, Portfolio teams) and owns automating critical workflows, it is not a generic internal service desk.
A pure engineering management role. You will manage people, but the job requires product judgment, customer discovery, business context, technical taste, and delivery ownership.
A pure finance systems or BI role. Reporting is critical, but the scope also includes product workflows, engineering, directories, payments, invoicing, pricing, and the data generated by those workflows.
A process gate for other pods. You clarify ownership and build shared capabilities, but you should help teams move faster rather than centralize every decision.
Why Join Us
You will own the operating system for how Multiplier runs across portfolio companies: the systems that connect companies, teams, services, pricing, invoices, payments, ledgers, and reporting into one coherent model. The work is early enough that your fingerprints will be on the foundations, but live enough that your decisions will matter immediately.
You will work directly with the people using the system, see the operational impact of what you ship, and build a team around a mission that sits at the center of Multiplier's model. If you want high autonomy, high ownership, and the chance to define how a fast-growing AI-native services company actually operates, this is it.
What We Offer
Opportunity to join early in the growth journey of a company building a differentiated operator model at the intersection of services and AI.
High-ownership leadership role with direct impact across both HoldCo and portfolio companies.
Scope to shape the MultiplierOS roadmap, team, operating cadence, and product foundations from the ground up.
Competitive salary + performance-based bonus / equity.
Unlimited paid leave, to rest and recharge as necessary.
Remote or flexible hybrid work arrangement depending on location.
Comprehensive medical and dental insurance coverage.
