The role requires close coordination with inspectors, laboratories, and internal teams to ensure high-quality client reports are completed and delivered within required timelines.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed, accurate, and professional environmental inspection reports (mold, mycotoxin, lead, asbestos, and related hazards).
  • Review inspection findings and convert technical data into clear, client-ready reports.
  • Follow up with field inspectors to obtain missing information, photos, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with laboratories and internal teams to obtain and confirm test results.
  • Review lab data and integrate findings accurately into final reports.
  • Ensure all reports are completed, reviewed, and delivered within set deadlines.
  • Maintain organized records of inspections, lab results, and completed reports.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with company reporting standards.
  • Identify gaps in data and proactively resolve issues to avoid delays.
BNF Consulting Inc.’s environmental reporting team supports inspection projects involving mold, mycotoxins, asbestos, lead, water damage, and indoor air quality assessments for residential and commercial properties.
The Engineer Report Writer will work closely with inspectors, laboratories, project coordinators, and operations staff to prepare accurate, high-quality client reports within required turnaround times. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced remote environment.

  • Probation period ranges from 2 weeks to 1 month
Strong knowledge of environmental hazards such as mold, asbestos, lead, mycotoxins, and indoor air quality issues.
Ability to interpret environmental inspection data and laboratory results accurately.
Experience working with environmental testing or remediation reports is required.
Strong technical report writing and documentation skills.
Good understanding of environmental sampling, lab procedures, and reporting standards.
Strong attention to detail and ability to detect inconsistencies in data.
Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
Ability to manage multiple reports and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
